Jennifer Haworth is well-known as both a writer of fiction and non-fiction. Jennifer was granted the NZSA/Auckland Museum National Research Grant for 2014 to assist her research this book. Funding has also come from Creative New Zealand.

Jennifer’s best selling non-fiction book is The Art of War on the World War II commissioned artists, and there are continuing good sales of Roads’ the Mode: The story of New Zealand’s road transport industry and Swimming Upstream: How salmon farming developed in New Zealand. She has published three novels to date. The most recent being The Undone Years which tells the story of a New Zealand artist in Paris at the time of the Peace Treaties in 1919. Her fourth novel, No Victors, tells the story of New Zealanders in Italy in W.W. II.
